Always check the label on the products before you buy it! These are from the norwegian shop LMC in Tromsø, Norway. For those of you who do not understand the problem : Did you know that in Asia where most of the dog and cat skins come from, animals live under such bad conditions that even the worst fur farms in Norway seems like paradise in compare? The poor animals live their short lifes in pure hell, and when the time comes that they are to be released the pain and suffering, they are skinned alive. Why ? Because in these countries it is said to believe that the more in pain, shock and afraid the animal is , the better the meat tastes. It is beyond criticism that Norway recognize such animal abuse by allowing the import and sale of these bi products. Unlike the EU and the U.S. Norway currently has no laws , rules or regulations on the import and sale of leather and fur from dogs, cats and animals in general from these contries. It is cynical and double moralistic that we, as a nation with strict rules and regulations for animal care and all that entails , shall authorize imports of leather and fur from a continent that has a long way to go what animal welfare concerns. As long as its not happening in front of our eyes , should we turn the other cheek ? We can not allow that in Norway, a resource-rich country, should degrade ourselfs by using leather and fur that is produced under cruel conditions , just to accommodate our vanity to a cheapest possible price. A quick trip on google guys and you can read and learn all about the cruelty behind the industry .
