Always wondered who writes your dictionaries? One answer would be the Dutch. The Radboud University in Nijmegen created a Dutch-Arabic dictionary. This work impressed people outside the Netherlands; the New Modern Standard Arabic dictionary by Oxford University Press used the Dutch-Arabic dictionary as an important source for their edition. Also, they called in the help of the Dutch Arabists from Radboud University. The editor of the new dictionary is Dutch, Ms. Tressy Arts. At the presentation, the Dutch work was praised and they called the Dutch-Arabic dictionary the most important electronic publication and an example for the Arab lexicography.
