Am I really seeing people write Happy Rememberance Day.... Seriously??? Happy??? Just doesnt seem right is all, my Grandparents were anything but happy on this day...today is about remembering, remembering each and every one of those men and women who fought, gave up their lives, and gave us our freedom...its a day to say We havent forgotten, we will not forget. Today marks a very important day in history, at the 11th hour, of the 11th day, of the 11th month marks the time when the armistice (spellcheck?) came in to play. A day of which most of us can not even begin to comprehend. Those men and women live with the very vivid memories of days passed. We can not even begin to speculate on the images that may be and are permanently embedded in them, the thoughts and memories that haunt them and keep them up at night. Bottom line...my personal opinion and Im sure one of which would be shared by veterans alike is Happy Rememberance Day is just simply not appropriate.
