Am I seriously the only one on Canadian soil that doesnt hate Muslims/people with dark skin? To be clear, I do not define an individuals morality and ethics based on which religion they belong to. Religion may be used as justification for being a shitty feeble minded person, but it is not necessarily the religion that MAKES you the shitty feeble minded person to begin with. You were probably just raised by shitty parents, starved at night (insert comedic relief), or extremely extremely poorly educated. I have been taught (in my studies), that every religion (ALL of them) have some unique and amazing aspects, as well as hypocritical and appalling aspects; both today, and throughout history. However, regardless of skin colour, ethnicity and personal creed/niche and religion, all individuals are different. There are extremists in christian organizations as well (FLDS and Westboro Baptist Church to name a few ... and this list is obviously not exhaustive), that equally demonstrate hate outlined as unconstitutional in our Charter, illegal in our criminal codes, and demonstrated as downright evil in our statutes (in comparison to al-Qaeda and ISIS) ... Do these people define/encapsulate the Christian religion as the 0.00000001% of Christians? Or are they just shitty uneducated people? But they are all white, and dammit we cant paint them with the same broad brush stroke! DARN. Ive met some great fellas, who are seriously awesome and kind people. I dont know what religion they belong to, nor do I give a shit. The colour of their skin, what they wear on their head, or what mosque they pray in, just doesnt scare me! Were they born here? I dont care! I also took the leap and worked in an Indian restaurant as a broke student looking to make some cash (and I must say people, they were the best tippers Ive ever had. This is not meant to be a stereotype, but rather a personal reflection on the killer money I made). We are a melting pot, we have a Charter for a reason, and I will not let hatred for another individual be based on whatever the hell religion they belong to, nor what the colour of their skin pigment is. Totally and unequivocally unnecessary. I am a proud Canadian, and I will continue to act like it.
