Am I the only Mom who is on pins & needles the night before FCAT? I love my childrens school and been blessed beyond measure with the wonderful teachers they have, BUT.... Its really disturbing that their intelligence and performance is measured by the standardized testing. That their overall academic growth is not evaluated over the course of the school year, but solely on one test. At the end of the day, the FCAT hinders their learning potential. I am a Mom to a 3rd & 5th grade students who will sit tomorrow among their peers with their sharpened #2 pencils and nerves on edge. I simply feel for them. Lots of extra hugs & cuddling tonight in the Johnson household.💛
