Am I the only one who didnt know Roger Ebert died a year ago, almost exactly? Saw something quoting the late Roger Ebert and Im all Whaaa? Looked it up and was also amazed it was 99 when Siskel died. Michael Jackson, Whitney Houston, Paul Walker, Philip Seymour Hoffman (one of my faves!!!), and more locally losing more relatives as time goes on, found out just the other day that a girl Ive known for about 5 years passed back in November, and so on.... Its hard getting older, you see death more and more, some people you never expected to see die. It is a sobering reality check that life is so short, and its a little scary. I dont fear per say because I know Who holds my eternity, but it makes you stop and think about what youve done, what youre doing, what you will be remembered by and what you will leave behind. If today was your last day, would you be satisfied with what impact you made on this world? Would you be proud of what you accomplished? I know Im thinking about it... Three things will last forever - faith, hope, and love - and the greatest of these is love.
