Am I the only person who hates the Medifast commercials where the woman is talking to her past, larger self? It continues the assumption that all larger people are fat, lazy slobs instead of decent human beings worthy of respect. The line What took you so long? especially bothers me. According to this commercial, I just need to get off my ass and use the Medifast diet plan. Given that PCOS is a factor in many womens weight gain/retention (including mine), a diet based on soy products is less than truly helpful for those of us who have issues regarding hormone fluctuation beyond our control. Medifast: Please stop playing mind-games. Gaslighting women about their weight is truly uncool. Sorry, Ive been stewing about this for a while.
