Amazing how much of your own advocate you need to be when it comes to American medical care and treatment. Surgery for my Achilles is on Tuesday, I need to have a pre-op physical before. Considering I have not had any blood work or physical since 2005 I told the scheduler that I would like to have a complete physical and kill two birds with one stone. She was rude, short with me on the phone, scheduled me and pushed me off the phone. I called back and spoke with general clinic service (Diane) and was treated VERY well, told to fast for 12 hours and then I can have the physical I requested. How hard was that!? Seriously I am not paying for one damn thing that is not required for this surgery.
