****Ameer-i-Jama’at for revival of Islamic system**** **JeI holds annual congregation in Bandipora** Bandipora, Nov 17: Stating that caliphate system is the need of hour to regain peace in the world, Ameer-i-Jama’at Moulana Muhammad Abdullah Wani on Sunday said that Muslims should strive for revival of Islamic system both at individual and social level. Speaking at a Salana Ijtimah (annual congregation) of Jama’at-e-Islami here in north Kashmir Ameer-i-Jama’at said: “All the problems which Muslim Ummah is confronting in the present era will end by following the teachings of Quran in practical life.” “The only solution for the miseries of humanity and Muslim Ummah is revival of caliphate system, we can get united and wipe out all the miseries under the caliphate system,” he added. In his Khitaab-e-Khaas (Special lecture), Ameer-i-Jama’at, explained the purpose of life and the mission of man in this universe in the light of Quran and Sunnah. He said that Muslims need governance to implement the teachings of Quran. Moulana Gazi Moinul Islam spoke on the theme youth and knowledge and stressed on the need to follow Islamic teachings in letter and spirit. Gazi stated that various scholars have misunderstood the real meaning of knowledge (ilm) and are distorting the meaning of Quranic terms. He advised youth to acquire knowledge in a way so that they can lead the world. “Knowledge is power and when we acquire it in real Islamic ways it would definitely lead us in all fronts” Ghazi said. Annual Ijtimah, which was attended by thousands of persons from across the district, began with the Tilawat-e- Quran at 9:30 am. In his inaugural speech, Ameer-i-Zilla Ghulam Muhammad Wani threw light in the purpose of holding such Ijtimah’s and also explained the mission and objective of Jama’at-e-Islami. Dars-e-Quran was delivered by Ameer-i-Jama’at, Muhammad Abdullah Wani.
