America. Dragged though the slime. It can be a tragedy, of our ambassador and three State Dept. employees being killed by a terrorist attack, and they will slime America, pour salt in the wound and forever draw on, the pain of the loss, by blaming America for it. And monetizing the venture. It can be the lifting of a stain - the releasing of prisoners held for longer than a decade, outside of our own laws, in violation of the basic rights we demand for the worst among us, and demand that all other governments afford, even their own citizens - no rights of habeas corpus, never charged let alone convicted of any crime, and ordered by one federal judge after another to be released or charged. And they slime America for it. For rising to the level of our own standards and not continuing this tax payer funded disgrace of justice and freedom. Perhaps the lowest, most disgusting sliming of all, the least respect for anything and everything American is when they will take the occasion of the homecoming of a prisoner of war five years, and they will slime America, by calling him a traitor, trying him in complete ignorance, on a matter NOT for public consumption, but rather, internal military disciplining, and with nothing more factual than partisan news sensationalism and hearsay interviews, before hes even safely home - and EVEN though the military has already promised a full investigation into the soldiers conduct - all of which would not be a factor, in any case, in the decision to bring him home. They will not, can not, be happy for any occasion, however fleeting, or bring themselves to refrain from making any bad situations, worse. THEY, have walked off their posts, of being patriotic Americans. John Eichelberger John Hallett Kelly Bowlin Tina Townsend-Fontenot
