American Canyon beat Vallejo on Thursday, 19-0 in 5 innings to secure a place in the CIF Sac Joaquin Section Division II playoffs. In just their third Varsity season, this will mark the Wolves first playoff appearance. Jared Denning got the win over Vallejo, pitching 3 innings, giving up 4 hits and striking out 3. J.J. Barnett pitched the 4th and 5th innings without allowing a hit and also striking out 3. Offensively the Wolves had 12 hits. Brandon Lew was 4 for 5 with a double and 2 triples and 3 RBIs to lead the charge. Joey Dodson stayed hot, having a 3 for 4 day with a double, 3 RBIs and 4 runs scored. Adriel Jose was 1 for 3 with a double and 3 RBIs and Barnett was 1 for 4 with a triple and 2 RBIs. Jordan Asano was 2 for 4 and Tylor Ledesma was 1 for 2. The Wolves are now 12-5 overall, 8-3 in league. American Canyon will host Vintage on Friday at 4:00.
