Over the years, the ACA membership has sent thousands of emails and handwritten letters to members of Congress telling them what issues are important to professional counselors and their clients. This summer, we want to personalize our efforts even more – by sharing your photo message with Congress! The process is simple and your photo message will go a long way in making ACA issues stand out on Capitol Hill. 1. Print the sample messages (below) on our priority issues. Or, grab a piece of paper and write your own! With a phone or digital camera, snap a photo of yourself holding a sign (choose a sample above or create your own) and send it to [email protected] [ mailto:[email protected] ] . 3. In the email, include your name, profession, and full address. This way we can make sure the lawmakers from your state and district get your message. Spread the word! This is a fun activity to share with your colleagues, graduate students, and others. We hope to deliver hundreds of photo messages at our ACA Day on the Hill this July!
