Amy Update Day 3-4: Yesterday was not such a fun day. Amy had quite a bit of pain and ran 102 temp. They did get the fever under control and last night she received 2 units of blood. Today we are hoping for a better day. She is really tired today but kinda excited that they upgraded her diet from liquids and put her on a soft food diet. They are adjusting her pain meds to hopefully give her a more restful day. Dr. Starr, her surgeon, is hopeful she may go home on Tues but there is no rush...only when she feels ready. This is how awesome this doctor is...he is retiring Dec 31 and so he plans to call her in the days between now and then. Beginning Jan. 1 he will no longer be a Mayo doctor so he gave her his home phone number and said she could call anytime. He would like her to get established with a Sanford bariatric doctor in Fargo so if anyone has one to recommend please let us know. Thanks again for all your prayers and words of support.
