An Abuja based lawyer, Chukwunweike Okafor has approached a Federal High Court in Abuja seeking the disqualification of General Buhari in the impending elections on the basis that he does not possess the minimum educational requirements. He has, through an originating summons, invited the Court to inteprete Section 131 of the Constitution. This is commendable. Now the courts will have the chance to put the matter to rest finally. My stand on the matter is that the General met the constitutional requirement under that section but I shall willingly accept whatever decision the Court takes. This is the essence of the profession.
