The 2014 summer season will lead off on May 27th with the smash-hit opener, “Country Jukebox: The Best of Country Duets” by stand-out singer Leisa Way. Starring Leisa Way, Aaron Solomon, and Randall Kempf, and featuring the Wayward Wind Band in a non-stop parade of country jukebox hits delivered with energy and style … “Country Jukebox bursts from the gate and hits the ground running”. Second up, PSFT is proud to be producing “The Melville Boys” by Norm Foster … “A family cottage with fish that can’t be caught, girls that won’t be wooed, and family secrets that just won’t go away.” Come see the play that started it all … a true Canadian Classic. Opening on July 9th, the Port Stanley Festival Theatre is delighted to be presenting the world premiere of a brand new Canadian musical, “Bingo Ladies” with book, music, and lyrics by Grant Tilly. It’s Friday night at the Bingo Hall and the gloves are off! Tight harmonies, melodies that soar, and a lucky troll named Thor … “Come see the bingo ladies, they’ll steal your heart.” July 30th brings comedian, Lorne Elliott’s hit comedy “The Fixer Upper” to the Port Stanley stage. A comedy in seven phone calls … How do you rent a cottage that’s derelict, mosquito infested, worn-to-a-frazzle, and “kind of inherited”? Mark Crawford’s sparkling new comedy “Stag and Doe” will close off the 2014 season with an extended run opening on August 20th. A brand new comedy from an exciting new playwright, “Stag and Doe” takes you on laugh filled romp through the perils of pre-nuptial shenanigans. Bonnie and Brad are having a stag and doe, Mandy and Rob are having a wedding, Dee is still getting over being left at the altar, and Jay just found out his entire catering staff is in jail. Oh yeah … and it’s all happening at the same time, in the same place! With a varied season, appealing to single ticket buyers, subscribers, and tour groups alike, the Port Stanley Festival Theatre looks forward to providing another season of top quality entertainment in 2014.
