An ICDO delegation met with senior government officials in Mongolia to discuss future cooperation. The ICDO Secretary-General, Mr. Vladimir Kuvshinov, and the ICDO Director of International Relations, Mrs. Saltanat Tashmatova visited Mongolia to meet with senior government officials and oversee the delivery of ICDO technical equipment to the National Emergency Management Agency (NEMA). The ICDO delegation met with the Deputy Prime Minister of Mongolia, H.E. Mr. Dendev Terbishdagva, as well as the Director of the NEMA, Mr. Togooch Dulamdorj. The discussions revolved around the reinforcement of bilateral cooperation between Mongolia and the ICDO, more specifically on the following points: - The development of training courses at the NEMA base - The Participation of Mongolia in international activities organized by the ICDO - The continuation of ICDO support to Mongolia through technical assistance programmes - The organization of international exercises on within the NEMA base - The support from the ICDO to Mongolia towards the development of modern firefighting and emergency systems - The development of regional cooperation between the ICDO, Mongolia and neighbor countries - The establishment of a regional warehouse in Mongolia The ICDO delegation also seized this opportunity to visit the Civil Defence infrastructures of Mongolia.
