An absolute MONSTER of a day today in the NFL. The first day of Free Agency is drawing to a close with some shock signings and some bizarre trades. Here is a summary of it all: 1. The New Orleans Saints signed Safety Jarius Byrd to a huge six year deal worth $56 million dollars. The signing came has a shock to many as the Saints were perceived to some salary cap issues; 2. The Tampa Bay Buccaneers were one of the winners of the day with some great signings. They signed cornerback Alterraun Verner to a four year deal worth $26.5 million dollars and explosive pass rusher Michael Johnson to a five year deal worth $43.75 million dollars; 3. Some key releases today, with pro bowl pass rushers DeMarcus Ware, Julius Peppers and Jared Allen all looking for new teams; 4. The Cleveland Browns made a lot of moves today with the addition of linebacker Karlos Dansby (4 years, $24M) and safety Donte Whitner (4 years, $28M) and are said to be key players in negotiations for Darrelle Revis; 5. The Indianapolis Colts made a few moves with the re-signing of cornerback Vontae Davis (4 years, $39M), re-signing Mr Clutch Adam Vinatieri, the acquisition of defensive lineman Arthur Jones (5 years, $33M) and re-signing running back Ahmad Bradshaw for a one year deal; 6. Former The Kansas City Chiefs offensive tackle Branden Albert is taking his talents to South Beach, signing with the Miami Dolphins on a 5 year deal worth $46 million dollars; 7. The San Francisco 49ers replaced Safety Donte Whitner with Free Safety Antoine Bethea on a four year deal worth six million a year; 19.
