An acquaintance I met during the recent quest for collection of my PVC called yesterday to ask if I have finally picked up my PVC, I answered in the negative. He said to me, well Seye the way things are going we would have to lend our voices to and support recent calls by some eminent Nigerians for the postponement of 2015 elections. My answer was a capital NO, even if INEC refuses to issue me a PVC, until elections day, its not enough justification for the postponement of scheduled 2015 elections, more so that our country is reportedly bleeding badly under the current economic quagmire induced by free fall in the prices of crude oil and therefore cant afford to waste additional resources in this austere period. Few minutes ago, I got another call from the fellow that he has finally enlisted me among his retinue of so called aggrieved persons calling for postponement of 2015 elections because of non collection of PVC whatever that means! I view this with suspect more so because of his political inclination/affiliation. This therefore serves as an alert that just in case you come across my name(s) in any publication(s), please, Im not agrieved, though, Im clearly unhappy that INEC is yet to issue me my PVC. Also, I hereby totally dissociate myself from calls, either sponsored or not and / or proposed rallies by disgruntled elements, calling for postponement of 2015 elections on account of PVC collection, I may be wrong, but I feel strongly that they dont mean well. Afterall, people working at INEC are human and they are not infallible, I prefer to pursue my PVC collection in the civil way and manner as I have been doing believing that INEC will issue it before the elections as promised. Thank you.
