An article written for Eva Marn on 11/8/12 The role of Albanian family in LGBT issues and personal development There are many elements that prevent citizen of Kosovo to develop personally and live free but the HOR element kept strongly by Albanian Family makes the life of any freedom seeker impossible. Since majority of the population in Kosovo consist ethnic Albianian, this fact creates a huge obstacle to let people live as individuals and that creates even a harder situation for the LGBT community in Kosovo! Albanian family hasn’t still evolved compared to modern west families due to a long historical reason of tyranny and this problem remain still active in the area as the tyranny has a strong power in the leading structures due to the fact that religion has still a strong influence, nationalist based on ancient illirian movement manifested with corrupted parties and as well the presence of many dirty business operating in the area are creating a huge amount of fear level in the society that drives the LGBT community live in remain in a very hard condition! As mentioned Albanian family is one of the key problem, I will try to go deep into into the problem and later I will propose how we can hit this problem as I see a big light to bring solution towards this key element of destruction! I will introduce a word that are necessary to get the concept of great fear produced Albanian Family tradition that are still power! Please see it carefully! HOR = A truth exposed in public which doesn’t suit the society/family standards If a family experience HOR, here are the following consequences: Member of other family or society including the one who are in structures will lose the whole respect for the rest of the families and due to this fact, the family will feel a great discrimination and that’s why many families leave from one town to another or even emigrate to countries abroad. It goes with persons/individuals leaving the area as well. Depending on the case and the level of HOR! For example there will be cases when a person would be killed, brutally hitted and the family will accept that as a normal fact due to the fact that their child or parents betrain society rules! There is even art expressing this problem and you can find on HALI DHE HAJRIA (sq.wikipedia.org/wiki/Halili_dhe_Hajria) (there is also a beautiful painful song expressed inspired by story; youtube/watch?v=aTBsX_YqByM). In this story due to HOR the woman kills her Husband and her son as a result of not letting the betrain blood grow and create bad image of woman’s family in the public. Losing job/business, divorcing, not allowing you to enter in public places, threatening(spreading fear), discriminating you in all ligh levels is a very common thing you can see in whole Albanian territories due to this issue! The question goes, is this Kanuni LEK DUKAGJINI or it’s something else? I think Kanuni LEK DUKAGJINI (4shared/office/dyXxLc8O/ kanuni_i_lek_dukagjinit.html) is just an extension of an old ancient Albanian culture where blood taking and sacrificing was part of a culture that hasn’t end YET! The legend is about the initiative of three brothers who set about building the castle.[3]They worked all day, but the walls fell down at night. They met a clever old man who advised them to sacrifice someone so that the walls would stand. The three brothers found it difficult to decide whom to sacrifice. Finally, they decided to sacrifice one of their wives who would bring lunch to them the next day. So they agreed that whichever of their wives was the one to bring them lunch the next day was the one who would be buried in the wall of the castle. They also promised not to tell their wives of this. The two older brothers, however, explained the situation to their wives that night, while the honest youngest brother said nothing. The following afternoon, the brothers waited anxiously to see which wife was carrying the basket of food. It was Rosafa, the wife of the youngest brother. He explained to her the agreement that they had made, namely that she was to be sacrificed and buried in the wall of the castle so that they could finish building it. She did not protest. The faithfulness of the youngest brother and the life sacrifice of his young wife are portrayed as elements of symbolic importance. Rosafa, who was predestined to be walled in, worried about her infant son, accepted to be walled in on condition that they leave her right breast exposed to feed her newborn son, her right eye to see him, her right hand to caress him and her right foot to rock his cradle. It is said that milk still flows from one of the walls in the castle. Due to this ancient story we remain having our energy infected by rage which results a lot into fear and that manifest aggressively often and lack of common sense and makes it imposibble to create communities where love and honest flows by no accident! Since the international community spend a lot of money to protect the security of their interests in Kosovo, they forgot that those who are serving for their interest (Albanian) need to be heard in order to remain efficient in doing jobs that doesn’t protect only the rights of International Problems but as well the domestic ones! We play the role of the victim and the international Community has been provoked by it and intervened and one of the reason why science and international structured couldn’t enter there is due to fear reason and as Einstein will say IF YOU DON’T SPEND THE RIGHT AMOUNT OF TIME WITH THE PROBLEM YOU WILL NEVER UNDERSTAND AND SOLVE IT. I think the time is NOW, the problem is identified by the society in a low SCALE but we need ACTION and we need to provide an alternative structure which the process of healing rage will not escalated into a higher level which is something that is happening now with VETEVENDOSJA! HOR makes RULE of LAW impossible to function properly in Kosovo as it doesn’t allow freedom of speech; it doesn’t allow to denounce cases of human rights abuse; and it makes society very superficial/fake and It makes truth an unspoken element of life which results on difficulties to identity the problem and solve it. LGBT became a great issue in Kosovo due to the fact of HOR element kept by all possible forces in I am happy to provide details who are the families that are involved in the process that are still in power and how this element operates Globally and makes Kosovo still a place where troubles seems to be Cheers for the greater world and hope we together will find a way to end this deviation of the process that happened once upon a time and it’s still in power!
