An early Saturday morning on our way to the Kaala farms, Napali fellows finish up breakfast on the go in the van and curiosity sparks a fuse amongst us all. The city noise fades away as we drive off into the countryside and we are suddenly surrounded by land and water. I knew something greater was ahead, as we transitioned from cement paved roads to dirt roads. It was pretty serious. We were in the midst of a hidden gem. A place that our ancestors once thrived off of. The sun gave life to the green landscape, the clouds kissed the mountains, and the natural spring waters produced food. Nothing was more beautiful than to be in it and learn about its history from Uncle Buch.
