An emerging nation by the year 2035: reality or myth? Amid many projects that the Cameroon head of state has escalated, to make Cameroon become an emerging nation by 2035, are the Douala - Yaounde express road network and the inter-city express train (which is suppose to enable passengers reach either way..... Yaounde to Douala or Douala to Yaounde just in three hours). As these are high ambitions to make the country emerge, Cameroonians are doubting if this can be a reality. Serious work is currently going on from Yassa ( I saw it yesterday).....as several caterpillars are demolishing all sorts of odd structures while extending both sides of the roads. Inhabitants of this neighborhood stood in a distance and watched the job with awe. If this is achieved, as I heard it will go right up to Bikoko junction, then traffic will be improved a great deal. Indeed, the greatest problem is that more cars are entering Cameroon at a rate that has never been witness before, the influx of motor bikes constitute a thousand of road technology to impact traffic, what else...........the population itself is increasing at an alarming rate, urbanization at the increase too, with all these, are the infrastructures we had since the three last decades not too small to sustain us?
