?An event based on anime and manga franchise Naruto is currently being held in the Mimasaka region of Okayama Prefecture. The event includes trains decorated with Naruto artwork and images of Naruto characters created in rice fields. The event, which will run until March 31, 2014, is being held to celebrate the 1,300th anniversary of the founding of Mimasaka Province, a former province of Japan that was located in what is now Okayama Prefecture. The event is being produced with assistance from Naruto creator Masashi Kishimoto, who was born in the town of Nagi in Okayama Prefecture. In addition to running two trains decorated with Naruto characters, the event also features an AR scavenger hunt throughout the region. After downloading the official smartphone app, users will be directed to Naruto characters hidden throughout Mimasaka. Naruto artwork has also been created by local farmers by planting multicolored rice on a hillside near Mimasaka-Takio Station. Until November 16, the artwork will be visible from passing trains on the Inbi Line. Other attractions include Naruto exhibitions at the Nagi Museum of Contemporary Art and the Fairywood Glass Museum, an event at Tsuyama Castle, and a scavenger hunt at the Yubara Onsen hot springs." This actually sounds like a pretty nice event that Kishimoto is holding in his hometown. animenewsnetwork/interest/2013-08-03/naruto-rice-fields-planted-in-okayama-prefecture
