An eventful day; 2 good events, 1 not as good. Good #1: I got my motorcycle insurance renewal for 2015. 5 bikes = $1,250. The interesting (and good) thing is that the 1190RX is NOT my most expensive bike to insure, its my 3rd most expensive bike to insure. Interestingly, the 1125CR costs $81.00 more than the 1190RX. Good #2: Well, I guess I can never leave well enough alone. Or maybe Im just following my old mantra - stock is for sissies... In the now you see it, now you dont department. The 1190RX lost a few pounds by the removal of the intake solenoid and gained a few ounces from the resistor plug to keep from displaying an error code. I guess it isnt the first mod Ive done to it as I previously removed the passenger seat strap. So...STOCK IS FOR SISSIES!!! Not so good #1: After starting the 1190RX once the work was done I noticed that the rear tire is showing cords. :-( Ya cant win em all...
