An internet group that I happily have been invited to occasionally asks for list of favorite albums, songs, guitars, etc. When asked to candidly list top 40 favorite songs I made out the list, deleted half of it, filled it out again, saved it for later, deleted more than half, filled it out again...etc. maybe like, 9-11 times? I probably deleted 130 songs total and would probably include most of them if given enough time to reconsider. What I really liked was that I only ended up duplicating 3 artists in the final list: The Clash, The Velvet Underground, and The Rolling Stones, and 34 other bands. Eventually I found myself thinking at random times during the day, How can I NOT have a song by ______ on that list?? Ultimately I think I really like that I like a lot, a whole lot.
