An unreported on consequence of the Federal crackdown on Opiate based painkillers is that it will cause more strain on the Veterans Administration because anyone who has been getting them from the VA will have to see a doctor every 60 days to get their prescription renewed. Many Vets especially older ones have been automatically getting them for years but now that has changed resulting in many more trips to the VA. Not to mention whats going to happen to Vets who get them cut off. They will then go to the black market exposing themselves to arrest and robbery.
