An update from Dillon s dad: We were informed last night that after the transplant team got to the donor location and checked out the liver, it was not a splitable liver and would be to large for Dillon. So the liver went “whole” to another recipient on the list, and we were sent home late last night. A little sad, but understand that this can happen and we know it’s better to find the perfect one for Dillon then try and just make something work. He’s in stable condition and home with us so it’s not an emergency that he get a transplant like some people. And while sad that someone passed in order for us to have a chance a liver for Dillon, another life was hopefully saved in receiving the whole liver from the donor last night. Thank you for the prayers. We will let you know when they call again, and in the mean time Dillon is home with us so we’re happy. Billy Please continue to hold this beautiful family in your prayers.
