An update on Dylan: Neurologist was just in. There is swelling on the brain. They have inserted a monitor to check swelling and have already reduced the pressure from 40 to 20. Normal is 10. They are still talking about closing his chest finally tomorrow. We are now waiting to find out the reason for the swelling. They are finding out if he is good enough to move to the real ct machine to get a better picture of the brain than the portable one did. We are once again waiting. He has been sedated again. There is a chance of brain damage but still unknown. There is a chance he could be just fine. We just dont know which way it will fall. An hour later: Pressure on the brain is now down to 9. Normal is 10 Dylan was at 40 when they put in the monitor. He is again stable. We are again going to a friends house to sleep tonight. They are still talking about closing the chest tomorrow. We are still in a holding pattern in terms of neurological function. We continue to wait to see if Dylan is still in there. Please keep up your good wishes, thoughts, and prayers...
