An update on my brother: he is still fighting for his life and his condition has been getting worse. He has suffered a severe brain injury that is causing his body to self-destruct because his brain is not regulating his body as it should. He has an extremely high fever and heart rate, he cannot absorb food, he is vomiting and coughing, and he cannot sleep. Worst of all, he is deeply distressed. We do not know what he can hear, see, or understand, but he is almost constantly crying tears of what appear to be agony and distress. My brother is suffering in a way I never could have imagined. With all my heart, I beg your prayers and thoughts for him. That his brain will let his body rest and heal. That all fear and distress will be banished, and that he will feel the peace and tender love of Christ. That he will know how deeply loved and what a gift to the world he is. Please also say a prayer for my family and his fiancée Danielle, our hearts have been gashed from watching this nightmare happen to my beloved brother. Pray and think of him especially today, the day he was to be married to the love of his life and start a new chapter of his hopes and dreams. I am going to be putting together a collage of photos, kind words, and prayers for him that I will show and read to him. Please send me something if you can. And I will include any good stories about him from those who know him in my wedding speech that I will still read to him today.
