And Here we go!! Off to 39.3 mile 2 stage mid life crisis Disney goofy challenge ( more like dumb 44 year old move) 1/2 marathon Saturday Im going competitively and shooting for a sub-2 (under 2 hour) time of which Ive been training somewhat unsuccessfully towards over last 8 weeks. We shall see.. Sunday full marathon and NOT going for a time.. Nice and easy (at least thats what Ive promised my family) life insurance is paid up and Im as ready as Im going to be.. Wish me luck as this journey has been very different than the Chicago marathon journey was. On a separate note I used my global entry status at ohare for the first time today and LOVED IT!! No line, no shoes off, no laptop out, and electronic check in. I was literally through in under 3 mins while regular line was at least 20-30.
