And great fear came upon the whole church and upon all who heard of these things. Acts 5:11 Why did the whole church have fear? Was it because of persecution? No. Was it because they had been threatened by the State or other religious organizations? No. Was it because they were worried about whether or not they had enough money to buy new hymnals? No! It was the fear of God! Ananias & Sapphira had just died because they lied to the Holy Spirit. A lie...thats it! Perhaps the God we serve, Church, is more serious about sin than our lives often times reflect. Should we fear God? If you dont, I fear for you.
