. . . And here is an excerpt from my other book which is available at the link below: Word is soon given that everyone must find a place and remain motionless and near some thing or someone that they can hold on to while the ships artificial gravity is adjusted. Although they will be in orbit around the planet it will partially influence their artificial gravity and thats the reason for the adjustment. As soon as the procedure is complete everyone will move about as before. The star that lights this solar system is more white than yellow meaning that it is also hotter than earths sun. At the same time this planet is farther from its star than the earth is from its sun. This of course was all taken into consideration by those who planned the Cicala mission. With earths future looking more and more bleak this planet was their best hope for an habitable place to restart the population. Missing from the view of this planet are large swirling weather patterns and cloud formations. It all appears calm - hopefully not dead; and that might only be because of distance. There definitely is an atmosphere which would obscure one from seeing details on the surface. Particles making up the atmosphere (whatever they might be) help to make seeing difficult. There are a lot of squinting eyes on board the Cicala today as its occupants eagerly strain to pick out details. With everyone holding onto something and parents and children holding onto each other the navigations team employs maneuvering thrusters and adjusts the variable anti gravity system while they search for the correct distance in which to orbit the planet. The process is taking much longer than expected though; at first they feel that they arent doing things quite right. Soon, however, they determine that it isnt their lack of expertise but simply the planet itself. This planet doesnt have a strong gravitational pull. When those nearest the conversation between the navigators hear that tidbit of information one of the fathers whispers mischievously to his little boy, Well be able to jump fifty feet into the air. You just watch and see. The little boy grins from ear to ear. I think we finally have it, announces Richard Domingez, head science specialist (and navigator) to the rest of the team, It seems like an awfully low orbit . . . but were going to monitor it nonstop anyway so well know if our orbit shows any signs of degeneration. The rest of the team agrees as they make the final adjustments to artificial gravity. A couple of children are almost floating above the floor with watchful hands of their parents holding on to them. As the artificial gravity comes back online the two children plop onto the floor butt first and look at each other before bursting out with laughter. Even multiplied millions of miles hadnt changed the playful attitude of these children and something as simple as this action still evokes simple laughter. amazon/dp/B00HILE0PA
