And it came to pass, as went to prayer, a certain damsel possessed with a spirit of divination met us, which brought her masters much gain by soothsaying: And this she did many days. But Paul, being grieved, turned and said to the spirit, I command thee in the name of Jesus Christ to come out of her. And he came out the same hour.(Acts 16 vs 16,18). That is the Focal Scripture of Streams of Joy Devotional Today. Notice carefully that the young maiden in our Focal Scripture was possessed with the spirit of divination. She operated with an evil spirit,and although what she said was right, her activities were bringing gains to the kingdom of darkness. Every gain for the kingdom of darkness is a loss for the kingdom of God; so this damsel brought gains to the enemy, and made Gods kingdom to suffer loss. When Paul saw this, he rebuked that evil spirit and commanded it to come out of her. Paul saw an avenue for the enemy to make profit and shut it down. He saw an activity that brought pleasure to the enemy,and he destroyed it. He saw something that made the enemy smile,and he wasted no time in crushing that activity. Friend, is there any activity around you that is making Gods Kingdom to suffer loss? Is there nay relationship you keep that brings gain to the enemy and losses to Gods Kingdom? Is there any sin, habit or attitude in you that makes the devil smile? Today, God says, Stop the devil from making gains. Halt every satanic activity around you. Through the power of prayer, stop every demonic activity around you that is sending souls to hell. Discard every sin, habit or attitude in you that puts smiles on the face of the devil. IT MAY SEEM RIGHT IN THE EYES OF EVERYONE, BUT IF THE DEVIL IS GETTING GLORIFIED BY IT, THEN, STOP IT! Pray with me,Lord, I halt every satanic activity around me; Your Kingdom will not suffer loss around me and in my time in Jesus name. Have a Blessed Sunday!
