Hitting the ‘like’ button on Facebook does not mean you care, doing something stupid like the ‘Ice bucket Challenge’ really has nothing to do with commitment to a worthy cause but everything to do with personal promotion and seeing how many likes the individual can get. It may raise the awareness of one ‘cause’ in the short term but does nothing once the craze passes. If you want to do something of value for society or people, regularly donate your time or money to a cause you care about, don’t dump a bucket of ice on your head and think you’re a good person. You’re just a self-absorbed attention seeker.
