And so it begins. Ken fetched us from Edinburgh Airport yesterday and took us to Tescos en route to Comrie to get some provisions for Cousin Wilbury. We were pretty shagged when we got there and didnt last too long after grub before we wended our way to bed. 8.30pm and broad daylight! I threw some towels over the curtain rail to try darken things up, and eventually resorted to using the eye mask I had used in the plane. We just passed out and woke up to a hearty Tim Noakes protein enriched bacon and eggs and and breakfast before finishing up our packing and by about 10am we were on our way. First stop Glencoe to the west and then on to Fort William where we now sit in the Ben Nevis Restaurant relaxing and eating ....... Why haggis of course, washed down with Belhavens Best Ale. Haggis for both of us you ask? What do you think? Thats a no for Mrs M who had her good old vis n tjips. Will I have haggis again? Oh yesss! We are loving the mountains (hills really, next to our own), and snow covers some of the mountain tops still as the last of winter disappears. We make our way down to the Mull of Kintyre tomorrow, but for now we will put our roots down back in Glencoe. Col is already suffering steak withdrawal so its ribeye for dinner tonight. For the moment, its over and out for the cousin, and hope all well with all. X
