My Grandfather threw his cigerettes in the garbage immediately. Unfortunately it was too late and 3 years later my Grandfather died of lung cancer. I fell to the ground, on my knees with tears raining from my eyes, I vowed to never touch another cigarette. My Mother even begged me to stop smoking so that my family doesnt have to go through this pain ever again. 10 years later, I am now 27 and I havent smoked a single cigarette since I made that vow.
