And the man said, They are departed hence; for I heard them say, Let us go to Dothan. And Joseph went after his brethren, and found them in Dothan.(Genesis 37 vs 17). Josephs life presents an interesting pattern: He dreamt twice while in his fathers house; there two camps in his fathers house- those who loved him and those who hated him; he lost his garments twice, to his brothers and to Potiphars wife; while in prison, he encountered two men who dreamt; while he sought his brothers, he found them in Dothan. Dothan means two wells. From his fathers house until he became a governor, the number two continued to resonate in his life. It seems God was using the number two to work for Joseph. Even when Pharoah dreamt twice, Joseph said, And for that the dream was doubled unto Pharaoh twice, it is because the thing is established by God and God will shortly bring it to pass(Genesis 41 vs 32). Joseph understood that the number two meant establishment. It is not ambitious to say that Josephs life has a godly pattern that followed him to the peak of his destiny. Friend, if there are positive things in your life that have consistently moved you from one level to another, hold on to them. When you get to the peak of your destiny, dont forget the godly patterns that took you there. Dont forget the prayers you consistently made on your way to the top; dont forget the ingredients of your success; dont forget the lessons that God taught you before you got to the top; dont forget the core values that made you great; dont lose sight of the divine instructions you had to keep in order for God to raise you to the next level. Your destiny is tailor made by God. Pay attention to the divine patterns that are ingredients of your success. Pray with me,Lord, help me to hold on to the divine patterns that will birth greatness in me in Jesus name.
