And the newest complication: My GP and endo are passing me along - TopicsExpress

And the newest complication: My GP and endo are passing me along to a world-famous specialist who they think might be able to help me, which could be great. I might get a few more years out of this life with his help, as he has assisted the two rarest cases of thyroid cancer and malabsorption in the entire world (this guy has even traveled to third-world countries to do his work. Hes top-notch). But the *actual* complication? It looks like he doesnt take my insurance. The GoFundMe money may pay for one or two visits and treatments. And thats topped $4k (well, about $2500, since $1500 was for James and his surgery back in April) and has pretty much stopped. Im sorry to sound pitiful for a moment, but WHY do I keep hitting brick walls at every turn? I finally get in with a doctor who deals with rare patients, and his website says they dont take my insurance (Ill be on the phone, pleading and crying tomorrow, and doing everything I can to see this guy). My GP and endo cant get the IM Synthroid I need. I need IM Synthroid to live out of the hospital, and for more than a year or so. If this doesnt work, what in the ever-loving hell is the next option? This is growing more terrifying as the days pass, and I dont know where to turn or which doctors to trust. If they dont know what to do... seriously, what comes next?
