Apparently these air filters dont last as long as they used to.....or....2011 was further back than I remember it being. Either way....I drove from Florence SC (Petro ) all the way to Carnesville Ga (Petro ) with my truck basically holding its breath. I could go full speed down the hill,and on flat ground, but could only climb hills at about 1200 RPM...or 45mph. I thought about my air filter about midway across ( Mrs. Pratt....you were right about me not paying attention or understanding too much ) and decided to replace it in Carnesville while I was fueling up. Pull it out and saw 8/2011 written on it and knew that I had stumbled ( smacked into ) onto the cause of my recent problems. Swapped it out and headed back out onto the interstate to test it out. Have you ever watched a movie where someone was pulled under the ocean and struggling for the surface.....they finally make it,their head pops through to the air...their mouth open and they gasp and suck in about 10 gallons of air? Well.....thats what my truck did on the first hill. See.....Im not too proud to admit my mistakes.
