And why is today so crap-tastic? The list: -woke to discover my kids had dragged my blankets off me and into their room. Trashing them along the way. - went down stairs to find that our solar system we built yesterday was in millions of styrofoam bits. Demolished. - got yelled at because they wanted cereal, and I served cereal. Still wondering why that was wrong. - got yelled at because I told them not to yell at me. Who exactly is the effing parent here?!?!? - older children pretended they could not read or write today. Also, they looked at me like I was speaking a foreign language when I have instructions, and proceeded to do the exact opposite of everything I said. Then got mad when I made them do it over again, the right way. - took them with me on important errand, where they were rude to a grown up. - told me that the reason they were being bad today was because they were bored and wanted to be outside. Sent them outside. Got yelled at for making them go outside. - watched as the three if them beat the snot out of eachother. Watched the oldest SPIT on siblings, then tattle on a younger for spitting. Told them all to go lay down and take naps. Got yelled at. - Middle child slammed the door on me, then proceeded to turn over or throw anything within her physical reach at the glass window in the door. Got kicked and screamed at when I physically removed her from arctic entry to her bed. - was called a jerk and told that they are running away and going to a new family when I told them that they were going to bed early tonight. - informed said children that we would be doing absolutely NOTHING until the disasters they created were fixed. Had toys and objects thrown at me. Also got spit at. -One child dumped a cup of water on the floor right in front of me, as I watched... Staring me down. Holy crap. WTF has gotten into these children today?!?? And how the hell do I fix it?????
