You ask me who I am “I don’t seem to recall” I reply, I was laughter I was wit now not any more. I miss me! I long for the shore. I know not contentment, not anymore. Who am I, a mother to five now let’s make that four. A provider so constant so stressed, fantasy gone life here just a mess. Am I a peacekeeper, a nurse and a vet, a workhorse or resource, a daughter, a supporter a sister who comes running at the drop of a hat? Or a safe pair of hands, a clown in the morning when alarm bells demand. A driver, a taxi a keeper of grounds, a cuddle in trouble a master to hounds. So I ask in earnest, “comme ce comme ca, who else needs a piece of me?” A gentle voice in a foreign tongue replies “Je suis moi!, “You need to be free” Have a great day -one and all! Helen
