Andrew Bynum ponders knee therapy The 2014-15 NBA season could be another one without Andrew Bynum. Andrew Bynum is contemplating undergoing the Regenokine knee therapy program, which would result in him missing the 2014-15 season. The former No. 10 draft pick is considering sitting out next season to undergo the Regenokine knee therapy program, according to a report from the New York Post. Bynums agent David Lee said the big man is seriously contemplating the program that would require an extra long rehab. The non-surgical program uses injections to help grow new cartilage and Bynum is considering doing the program with German doctor Peter Wehling, according to the report. The program is not approved in the United States. Wehling has worked with Kobe Bryant and Alex Rodriguez, according to the Post. If Bynum successfully completes the program, he could return in 2015-16. According to his agent, the Knicks would potentially be interested in the 7-footer. If hes healthy, Phil will be interested, Lee said, according to the report. Phil knew how to tap into Andrew. They got along famously. Bynum, a former All-Star, never played a second because of bad knees in 2012-13. He played in just 26 games the last two seasons. In 2011-12, Bynums last full season, he made the All-Star team and averaged 18.7 points and 11.8 rebounds a game. Bynum played in 24 games for the Cavaliers and two games for the Pacers last season.
