The Sunday Times has claimed that despite Uniteds apparent £47.7m bid for the 26-year-old, Real Madrid are confident they could still find a higher bidder in the shape of French champions PSG, who are also interested in securing the players services. The main reason would seem to be the Old Trafford clubs absence from the Champions League after a 7th place Premier League finish in 2013/14.
