Anheuser-Busch criticizes NFL: We are not satisfied... Anheuser-Busch is the first major National Football League sponsor to publicly criticize how the league is handling domestic violence controversies. We are disappointed and increasingly concerned by the recent incidents that have overshadowed this NFL season, said the companys statement. We are not yet satisfied with the leagues handling of behaviors that so clearly go against our own company culture and moral code. We have shared our concerns and expectations with the league. Anheuser-Busch spends $50 million a year in sponsorship deals with the league and its teams, according to research firm IEG. That $50 million sponsorship doesnt include the millions Anheuser-Busch spends on advertising during game broadcasts. That kind of big spending is why the league is able to charge broadcasters more than $5 billion to show its games this season.
