Animals Asia founder Jill Robinson and Downton Abbey star Lesley Nicol gave bear hugs and a fond farewell to a lone cyclist last week as Finlay Field set off on a 3,000km trip to raise funds for Animals Asia. Setting off from Animals Asia’s Chengdu Bear Rescue Centre, the 3,000km route will take Fin through some of China’s most breath-taking scenery and no-doubt test his fitness and resolve to the limits. This weekend, Fin should be arriving in the city of Guilin – one of China’s most popular tourist spots famous for it’s iconic karst mountains. Hopefully the super-fit bear lover will take a day off before continuing his long journey back to Hong Kong. It’s an incredible effort and Fin’s doing it all to raise funds for Animals Asia, having earned a wonderful HK$38,000 so far.
