Aniplex, being the lovely company that they are, had my copy of the final volume of Magi DVDs ready for me early so I went and picked that up today. While I *could* have waited until Friday to watch the final episode along with the rest of the Neon Alley following... Im impatient, so I watched it as soon as I could. Im really trying to find the words to describe what Im feeling after finishing the dub version of the series, but tears keep welling up in my eyes. (Theyre good tears though, so dont worry!) I feel a little silly for getting so emotional but it really is a weird feeling, being the official English voice of a specific character and then seeing yourself grow as a performer throughout a series where you play that character. Ive been an anime fan for about 14-15 years now and Ive been into voice acting for about 12-13. While it was always one of my goals to move to California to be in anime and video games... I never thought it would actually happen. And now, here I am, just having finished the last episode of a series where I play a main character. I really cant thank Mami, Tony, Sawako, Joanna, and everyone else from Aniplex enough. It really was a dream come true for me to take part in such a great series as a character I truly enjoyed playing. As for the actual episode.. I wont spoil it, but its *really* good. Probably one of my favorites the dubbed cast has performed. I really hope you all enjoy it when its available on Neon Alley this Friday! And remember that the volume 2 DVD set is available 3/18! Support Magi and let Aniplex know you want to see a dub of the second season so we can continue the adventure!
