I know you have to get an estimate from the shop and can only apply once the baby is born. I think the cheque is made out to the shop. I put a deposit on a buggy at the weekend, but the shop will only hold it for 2 weeks because it was a good deal, but I’m not due for another 4 weeks. I will probably borrow money from family to get the buggy. I was afraid to wait until I had the baby in case I didn’t get anything from welfare and would have missed a great deal.
