Anonymous says: Im a first time mom to a 4 week old boy. He is breast fed and as of this past week, he constantly wants to eat and barely sleeps between feedings. He has plenty of wet and poopy diapers, so I know hes eating enough. Hes nursing so much that my nipples hurt horribly. I give him a pacifier to see if that will satisfy him, but he spits it out. I know babies nurse to soothe themselves, but he does it so much that Im almost in tears whenever I nurse him. If I dont nurse him, he cries and flails his arms and legs or scratches his face or pulls on his ears. Im going insane and need some serious advice. I cant just let my baby sit there and scream to prevent myself from having pain.
