Anonymous shares: almost 3 year old son was just quailfied diagnosied with mild autism. Everyone including drs were very on the fence on it. GE is completey non verbal, doesnt play with others, doesnt respond to his name, runs away from u, spins, hand flaps on occasion. Though he has great eye contact, is bright, smart, learning to ask for things in new ways, motor skills mostly up to par. His speech was only coming 3 times a month so to get more it took a long time and having to switch. In that time only a few months ago, he turned into tantrum monster boy. Constant, mostly about not getting his way, pushing limits doing things he wants even knowing its not ok. NORMAL toddler behavior. But Im having a new speech tell me they feel he has sensory issues. After reading I get why cause he has some symptoms but no triggers. He doesnt care about touch, sight, sound motion or any of it. And only has meltdowns after he hasnt veen given his way or whatever he wants. Has anyone delt with this becoming sensory or just a phase?
