Another FAVOURITE posterior chain exercise: chest elevated lying leg curls. The key is to EXTEND the legs and fully contract the glutes BEFORE curling the legs. Drive your hips into the bench throughout the movement, probably the hardest part of this exercise to maintain. Take a video of yourself to see if your hips pop up! Trust me, the first time I took this video I was shocked to see my hips coming off the bench, and I lowered the weight and redid the exercise. Always remember we are bodybuilders not weight lifters. The focus is on discrete muscle activation using weights to effect a specific aesthetic result. Here I really want to engage the glutes as well as hamstrings, so I want those hips fully extended.
