Another Holiday period upon us. The girls are now 8 and 9 and it is getting easier and harder at the same time to ensure they are happy during these periods. We are very lucky that they really enjoy spending time together and playing independently, although this can at time lead to a little to much ipad time if we do not keep an eye on them. We are now living in a very remote community, called Kalumburu, which has taught them many life skills they would not have learned in a different setting. It also means we have a little extra money to allow us to travel during these holidays so we are off to Sri Lanka!! The girls love to travel and experiences new places and are really excited about this trip. I hope everyone else has a great holiday and Christmas period. It can be a difficult time especially with young children but it can also be a great time to do all those things you have been saying you will do with them. Art, playing soccer, singing, dancing, going to the movies, going to the pool or even just sitting together eating cake or reading a book. Enjoy.
